Getting it all connected (laptop)

Modified on Mon, 8 Jul, 2024 at 3:25 PM

The main components you’ll receive are the laptop and the docking station. The laptop has 2 USB C ports on the left side and 2 USB C ports on the right along with an audio jack and SD card slot.

The cable permanently attached to the dock on one side will connect to any of the USB-C ports on the laptop. It will provide power to the laptop plus supply connectivity for all the other devices. So there will be no need to use the laptop’s AC adapter cable when you are connected to the dock.

Plug the dock into the laptop on any port you choose.

The dock comes with a power brick, connect it to the power in port on the dock and the other end to an electrical outlet or surge protector (preferred).

Connect your monitors to the dock using the display ports, HDMI port or USB-C multifunction display port as needed. Most monitors will use display port connections.

Connect any USB devices you need (external mice/keyboards) to the USB ports on the dock.

Connect the network cable from your home network to the gigabit ethernet port on the dock if you will be connecting via hard wire. Otherwise, connect to your wifi network after logging into the laptop.

You may also receive a USB-C to USB-A/HDMI adapter that can be connected to give you another HDMI or USB A port when needed.
