If you have, you may be wondering if there is a way to tell if it is a legitimate request or if it is a fake one from someone trying to steal your data.  An easy way to tell is to use the "Alternate Signing Method" contained in the email.

Helpful hints:

  • Always type "docusign.com" directly into your browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox) address bar, don't click a link in the email
  • be wary of addresses that are close but not quite right like docusign.biz
  • be sure to check the code in the email you received and not the one in the example
  • If you are unsure of an email, you are better off ignoring it.  If it is legitimate, someone will most likely follow up with you.
  • As always, feel free to reach out to the IT team for a second opinion.
