Open Internet Options by searching for it and selecting it when it appears

Click on the "Security" tab and then "Trusted sites"

Then click on the "Sites" button

Type file:\\*.scstruss.com into the "Add this website to the zone:" box and click the add button

Uncheck the "Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone box and click the close button

Click the OK button on the Internet Properties window to close it

You should now be able to open network files by clicking on links emailed to you.
