Modified on Mon, 10 Jun, 2024 at 3:05 PM

To share a file using a link in Outlook, open and prepare to send an email in Outlook, then click the arrow next to the attachment icon and click "Browse Web Locations"

Then, choose your OneDrive from the menu

This will bring up a File Explorer windows where you can choose your file.  Click the file and then the insert button

Next, it will ask how you want to attach the file, choose "Share Link"

This will insert a link to the document and present a window allowing you to specify who can use the link to access the file.  Choose "Manage Access"

Choose "Recipients of this message"

Clicking the arrow next to "Can view" will allow you to specify whether the recipient can download or make changes to the file.  Choose your desired access and click apply

You are now ready to send the link to your desired recipient.
